If you're not an Apple Music subscriber, you may see some (irritating) messages like “Your Apple Music membership has expired.” or “Hear this and any other song you want.” while trying to listen to a song in your playlist. The root cause of this is that you have a song in your playlist that, for some reason, the Music app doesn't think you bought from iTunes. It's possible you did have an Apple Music trial subscription, and added the song to your playlist while on the trial. Or, perhaps you (legitimately) ripped the song to your iTunes library on your computer from CD. Or, perhaps you bought the song from the iTunes store from a different Apple ID than what is signed in now. Let's go through some ways to explore whether you do own the song, and possible fixes.
First, let's go look for the song in your Purchased history in the iTunes Store:
Next, if you were unable to find the song and download it in your purchases history, let's go check on your Apple ID being used for the iTunes Store right now:
Finally, if those two tasks didn't help solve the mystery, it's time to go to your computer that you sync music from. If you do sync music, make sure that song/artist/album is included in the songs you're syncing from your iTunes library. You may also want to look at the original source of that music file in iTunes to see if it was purchased from iTunes, ripped from CD, or from iTunes Match.
