Access Data from iTunes or Finder Backups on Your Computer
To access data from your backup you first need to back up your iPhone/iPad on your computer.
- Plug your iPhone into your computer.
- Click "Back Up" at the top of the Decipher Backup Browser window.
- Once the backup completes, restart the program and you will see your device and can start browsing backup data.
If you get an error while backing up your iPhone, simply click the button to contact us in the Back Up window to email us and we'll reply and help.
Note: If you have turned on encrypted backups, Decipher Backup Browser will prompt you for the backup password that you previously set in iTunes, Finder, or another third-party app.
Decipher Backup Browser can also import backups made in iTunes, Finder, and other third-party apps.

Lost your iPhone contacts and want to restore them to your iPhone?
- Select Contacts Data and then choose export.
- Choose a location for Decipher Backup Browser to save the vcf file to your computer.
- Email the vcf file to your email that you access via your iPhone and you can restore your contacts.
Need to save your call history to your computer?
Simply select "Call History" and then choose export.
Want to access app data and other hidden iPhone files?
Choose "All Files" and navigate around. Note: Many of the files on your iPhone, such as database files, need a third party program in order to access them.
