Clean an iPhone backup to only the essentials!

Decipher Phone Refresh:

  • Works for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch backups.
  • Customize a backup made in iTunes to only the contents you want. Choices include Health/Activity data, text messages, app data, voicemails, notes, camera roll photos, and more!
  • The customized backup is compatible for restoring via iTunes.
  • Decipher Phone Refresh creates a duplicate backup from your original iTunes backup, with only the data you want. The original backup is not edited!
  • Free trial is fully functional for restoring Health/Activity data. Additional features require registration.
  • Great for eliminating "Other" space on your iPhone, or paring down your disk usage to only the essentials.
  • Also great for slow and/or buggy iPhones that you'd like to wipe and start fresh, without abandoning important data.

Decipher Phone Refresh is software for selectively restoring only a subset of data from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch backup. Decipher Phone Refresh can help you eliminate old, unwanted data, to reduce your iPhone disk space usage, especially the ever-growing "Other" space in iTunes. You may also want to use Decipher Phone Refresh if you need to factory reset your iPhone (to fix network, battery, or other problems) but want to restore some important data from a backup, without restoring the problematic parts of the backup. Decipher Phone Refresh is also helpful for upgrading devices, so you can "start fresh" but keep important items, like Text Messages, Activity app history, WhatsApp data, or Camera Roll Photos. Decipher Phone Refresh runs completely on your computer, so your backup data remains private.

It's a nice software, very very useful but it would be great that you can deactivate an iDevice if you haven't it anymore and activate the new one. For example if you sell your iPhone and buy a new one.

Decipher Phone Refresh is one of my all-time favourite app purchaes. Simple utility but saves endless amounts of frustration and is simple to use. Support is also great and Kelly is super helpful.

My old iphone 5s could not sign into icloud and the call history remained empty no matter how many calls I make / receive / miss.
Bought a new SE which works perfectly until I restore from the 5s backup when the same problems come back.
Asked Apple to replace the SE and the new SE also works until I restore from backup when the same problems come back again.
Emailed Decipher and got a response (from Kelly - I can't thank you more!) within a day.
Used Decipher Phone Refresh to clean my backup and restored to my new SE and... it works like a charm! Thank you Decipher! It's well worththe $30!! Should have tried Decipher earlier to save two weeks' frustration!! (NH Leung)
