Gift Ideas for iPhone Users

With the holiday season just around the corner, it's shopping time! I've curated a list of presents for all of the different kinds of Apple people in your life. For each of these gift ideas, I'm including links to the specific version of the item that I actually use and gift myself. I won't recommend anything unless I've actually tried it myself and enjoy it.

Screen Protectors

These are a great little gift for anyone, but they're especially good for younger iPhone users, very active people, or anyone who tosses their iPhone in a bag or a purse often. I've been using these specific screen protectors for Ailun since 2016 since I cracked my iPhone screen on a walk seven years ago, and I gift a pack to my nephew every year for Christmas. They're really easy to put on, and they're made of tempered glass so they feel like a phone screen.

I put these screen protectors on my own iPhone, my sons' iPhones, my mom's iPhone, and all of the iPads in the house. I've removed plenty of cracked screen protectors over the years and found the screen underneath in pristine condition. Here's a picture of the screen protector I just took off my son's iPhone a few days ago, with the intact screen underneath. He had been using that screen protector for several months, keeping his iPhone in his backpack during school.

Where to buy: You can buy these screen protectors from Amazon.

Who is this good for: Anyone who uses an iPhone, but especially anyone more prone to crack their iPhone (kids & teens, active people, people who put their iPhone in their purse or bag.)

Price: Each pack of three is $8 or less at the time of writing!

iPhone Case

An iPhone case is a great gift, especially for the person whose case is looking a bit long in the tooth. For the person who loves a nice looking accessory, but won't indulge in buying it for themselves, an iPhone case upgrade can make them feel like they've gotten a whole new iPhone.

For an iPhone 15 Pro, I like this transparent case from Spigen (pictured below) to show off that titanium finish on the iPhone itself. It comes in entirely clear, or clear with a hint of color. Or, you can't go wrong with an iPhone case made by Apple. Just make sure you find out what model iPhone the recipient has so you get the correct size case!

Where to buy: You can buy iPhone cases from Amazon, from Apple (in person store or on their website), or many other consumer electronics stores like Best Buy.

Who is this good for: Someone with an old shabby looking case, or someone who likes changing up their accessories often.

Price: Varies. Apple cases are around $50-$60 each, the Spigen case I mentioned is $20 on Amazon at the time of this writing, with a 5% coupon offer.

AirPods

AirPods and AirPods Pro make a great gift for just about any iPhone user, since nearly every person who uses an iPhone has a need to privately listen to music, podcasts, or a phone call somewhat often. My favorite person to gift AirPods to is the busy person, that recipient who is up and about doing chores around their house, going for walks, or making a lot of calls. That person needs some wireless headphones so they can enjoy their audiobook/podcast/music while they're getting things done. Another good recipient (for AirPods Pro) is the person who works in a noisy environment - I love to pop my AirPods Pro in and use the Active Noise Cancellation mode when I am working from home. The Active Noise Cancellation mode is available only on AirPods Pro and and AirPods Max only.

If you order your AirPods from Apple, you can personalize them with some custom engraving on the AirPods case. Or, you can gift a case for the AirPods along with the AirPods themselves.

Please note that the AirPods "Max" are over-the-ear headphones, not in-ear earbuds!

Where to buy: AirPods, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max are all available on Amazon as well as from Apple.

Who is this good for: iPhone/iPad/Mac users who could use more hands-free audio in their life, or need some good noise canceling headphones. Anyone who does a lot of household chores, walks, or exercises frequently would likely appreciate some AirPods! Additionally, AirPods earbuds would be a thoughtful gift for anyone who is starting a new fitness habit.

Price: Amazon has a slightly discounted price for all models over Apple.com. At the time of this writing, AirPods (2nd generation) are $99 on Amazon (versus $129 from Apple), AirPods Pro (2nd generation) are $237.99 (versus $249 from Apple), and AirPods Max are $479.99 on Amazon (versus $549 from Apple.)

Air Tags

AirTags go well on a key-ring, in a kid's backpack, in a wallet or purse, or in luggage. They're a thoughtful gift for the frequent traveler to keep tabs on their luggage, or the person who misplaces their keys.

AirTags will connect anonymously to any iPhone on the iCloud network, so the person can find/track their AirTag even if they are not close to it. Very great for checked luggage!

Four Apple AirTags

Where to buy: You can buy AirTags in a one-pack or four-pack on Amazon or from Apple.

Who is this good for: The frequent traveler, or someone who misplaces their items.

Price: A four pack of AirTags is available on Amazon for $86.88 or $99 from Apple.

Bonus idea: If you need to get stocking stuffers for someone who already uses AirTags, you can get them a little pack of CR2032 batteries like these, since AirTag batteries need to be replaced about once a year.

iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods Wireless Charging Station

That "gadget" person in your life, who already has an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods might just need a swanky charging stand to organize, charge and showcase their gadgetry when it's time to recharge.

I bought this 3-in-1 wireless charging stand from Belkin for my husband as a father's day gift, and he loves it. (He still uses it, which is high praise!) It's well built and it's easy to place an Apple Watch with a loop band on it, which is not the case with all watch charging stands!

Another great 3-in-1 wireless charging stand, especially for the traveler, is this Foldable 3-in-1 wireless charging stand. This is the charging stand I use on my desk or when traveling. Again, this is another good watch charging station that works well with loop Apple Watch bands.

Belkin 3-in-1 wireless charging stand

Where to buy: The Belkin wireless charging stand is available in White or Black and the Foldable wireless charging stand is available in White or Black from Amazon.

Who is this good for: The person who already has all of the Apple gadgets, and could use a nice looking charger to organize them all.

Price: The Belkin charging stand is $121.25 and the KU XIU foldable charging stand is $49.99 at the time of this writing. The KU XIU foldable stand also has a 20% coupon deal available on Amazon right now.

MagSafe Battery Pack

Do you have a teenager who forgets to charge their iPhone? I never see my older son's iPhone without this MagSafe battery pack attached to it. I asked my son to give us a quick sentence review and he said:

“It’s efficient - if you forgot to charge your phone at night, you can just charge it during the day in your backpack.”

MagSafe compatible powerbanks nicely connect to the iPhone without any wires, and this specific powerbank fits nicely even attached to a smaller iPhone 13 mini.

MagSafe power bank.

Where to buy: Yiisonger Slim 10000mAh Wireless Power Bank is available on Amazon.

Who is this good for: Anyone who is away from a charger for big chunks of their day, such as students.

Price: $35.99 on Amazon at the time of this writing.
