After my iPhone was destroyed by my battery blowing up and I tried to transfer the data to a new device, iTunes marked my backup as defective. While similar providers weren't even able to find the backup, Deceipher's software couldn't solve the problem straight away either. But thanks to the absolutely perfect customer service, the developers were able to find the error and prepare a customized solution. All data could be restored in original quality, thanks again!

When attempting a phone restore, I received the “iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone.” message.

With iTunes only preserving a previous backup from 2019, I was faced with losing years worth of texts, app data and photos. Looking for solutions, I found Decipher Backup Repair offered by Decipher Tools on Google. Skeptical, I decided to try the product.

When running the program, I received javascript runtime errors that prevented the program from completing the repair. I was discouraged, but the program insisted that I send crash reports to the developer. I provided the crash logs to support and was surprised by the quick response from the developer. Within hours, I was sent a diagnostic version of Decipher Backup Repair with fixes. After running the diagnostic program, the backup repair was successful and I submitted the developer logs back to support. Before purchasing the license to finish the backup repair, I was given the all clear from the developer after going over the developer logs.

Pleased with the support provided by the developer, I purchased the product license and began the backup restore. Like magic, the phone data I thought I lost was back. Definitely worth the price of admission for the restoration of data and the customer support!

Great software, so quick and easy to use, can be done from previous back ups from your phone that are stored on the computer, and future from that same device. Keep your iCloud from getting cluttered with year old chat logs and keep on a pdf in your personal storage. I must say, I was a bit nervous about using a new website I found on google to recover my data. However, Decipher has been amazing from start to finish. My backup repairs were incomplete or not successfully restoring, initially. However, the support staff helped me through the process via prompt emails; and, now I have my data back! I was skeptical about whether this app is reliable to recover the backup I made for my mom's new iPhone, which was told "the backup is corrupted" when I was restoring it. Sought assistance from Apple Support and the ONLY solution was to give up all precious photos and videos, nothing more nothing less. It is infuriating as this happens only one time since the day I use Apple products, almost 10 years!

Have been looking for many solutions online and eventually found this tool, and the result is successful, highly recommended. It may sound expensive by just thinking of the low reputation (exposure of the app maybe), but turnout it is a $30 deal anyway, worth a try and got things done.

1000% RECOMMEND! These guys are awesome. I needed to downgrade my phone and when I tried to use my old backup iTunes would not load it. Was updating to iPhone15 from iPhone12, and my Windows and iTunes were out of date and I hadn't done a backup in a long time. I was very upset today after manually updating my iPhone 14 to iOS17. Ok, im cheap and reaaaaaaaly hesitant to work with stuff over the internet. Bought a new iPhone and turns out my old back up was corrupted. Thought I lost everything, and was pretty annoyed. But I found this, a friend said she had used them in the past. I didnt want to fork out the money but she said it was the price of dinner. So I did, and it worked first try. A long story short, I had to swap out my daughter's phone but I kept getting an error when trying to back it up. I only had one more day to fix it before she went on vacation. I backed up my old phone and traded it in for a new one. And i was severely depressed when the backup was corrupted when trying to transfer over to the new phone. I purchased decipher-backup-repair out of desparation, and even though it found many errors, the repaired backup didn't initially work. It wasn't until i used the advanced repair option that it finally worked! it did take a long time with almost 10 years worth of photos and videos, but the wait was totally worth it and so was this product! would reccomend to everyone.

After trying a competitors software that didn't state cell phone number from which EACH text message came from and all printed messages (with exception to PAGE 1 of 996 pages of the exported pdf) were blurry, I decided to try Decipher TextMessage. Exactly what I needed for my divorce trial coming up. Had communication with Decipher directly via email and they were wonderful at communicating timely and worked with me regarding a personal request. Outstanding company and product. I will be recommending them to anyone who is in need of their superior product and/or service.

Thanks from Lithuania. I never write reviews but here can't refuse. I sold my iPhone 13 earler than I bought 14 pro. I made a backup with itunes with idea to recover on my new 14 pro, but without luck... I was shocked, spend few days with all possible combinations. Even asked a customer who bought mine old 13 to return for me for few hours. I tried to recover original backup on 13 and still itunes crashes. Today I finally tried decipher and it worked from first time, it recovered all my data except messages, but it doesn't matter at all. Thanks for developer, worth every penny.

COULDN'T RAVE MORE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT!! It does exactly what it says it will. After backing up my iPhone (as Apple recommends) to iTunes, my iTunes backup somehow got corrupted and I lost 15 years of data. Hi! Andreas from Stockholm Sweden here.
My problem was that i had made a backup copy, and did a full reset.
After this i got the error its a corrupt backup, i did some google search for some hours while being frustrated and upset.
Then i found Decipher tools, was a bit sceptic and i decided to try it. and it actually works!
The scan and software was very easy to use and im super happy.

Had to get my iPhone 13 Pro MAX camera fixed and they needed to reset the phone while I was on beta. They had to revert the phone to IOS 16 to finish the repair. I made a backup on my computer on the beta and when restoring it, it would keep sending an error. For reference after the repair, I went back to the beta so that the backup would work. It refuses to install so I discovered this tool and since it had money back I bought the license to try it. I didn't take long to repair the backup and I started the restore on iTunes. It finished in about an hour and bam backup worked perfectly on the beta. I recommend this to anyone with backup issues. Better than apples own program.

I updated to iOs 16.6 - and the process did not work ... After doing a restore, I found out I couldn't restore from my last backup - the backup file was corrupted. I tried restoring from PC, Mac, trips to the Apple Forum ... Nothing helped. After the first try with Decipher Backup Repair, I have my iPhone back! Really great! I made the mistake of using iOS 17 beta and found out I couldn't restore from backup on a new phone. I tried restoring from PC, Mac, trips to the Apple store and multiple calls to customer service telling me it couldn't be done. After trying a few times with Decipher Backup Repair, I sent a last-ditch effort e-mail to the customer service team at Decipher (Kelly), and to my surprise, got a step-by-step walk through of how to troubleshoot the issue. Kelly was amazing and needless to say I was able to get my restore completed on my new phone and backup and running! AWESOME WORK AND WILL DEFINITELY BE RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!!

Thought I had lost all my files due to corrupted iPhone backup, but thanks to Decipher Backup Repair it all ended well! Only thing is that I have to download all apps again on my phone and log in everywhere, but that is a very small effort compared to having to cope with the feeling that I have lost all my images, files and other important documents. Wow! This software worked great! I need to save a string of hundreds of text messages and this did it quickly and cleanly. It took 500+ pages of text messages down to 55. All data of who sent the messages and when is included. Lifesaver for a lawsuit I have coming up.

So I actually purchased the decipher backup browser on accident and used the license code. I didn't double-check and realized my mistake way too late. So I went and messaged customer support. I was afraid since I had already used the license code, and I was concerned I would have to spend more money. But literally, within an hour, I got a response and a decipher backup repair license code from Kelly Wilkerson. I used it on my corrupted backup, and everything on my phone is restored! I know it's not free, but I think it's totally worth the 40 CAD just to get everything restored on my phone and it's hassle free.

After running a decryption program to try to get my backup password and no success. I've saved the backup for two years hoping one day... then my wife said to try "a password" and it worked... after two full years. Anyway, was excited that we were able to backup these lost files... but then the backup was corrupted... I thought... what are the odds!!! Was gonna stash away but did some digging and read some threads. I ran into Decipher Tools on an Apple thread. I WAS skeptical because I did pay for the decryption service to recover backup password and it got us nowhere. I ran this backup three times-hoping it was just a glitch and that it'll work.

It didn't work. It was corrupted... I then said... recovering my first baby's pictures from birth... it'll be worth a hopeful shot. Tried the free version, and like the others, it immediately identified the backup. Gave overview of what the problems could be - helpful, but was more concerned if I could reclaim these photos. The free version was able to patch but then was given the choice to pay and take that chance, or keep trying.

I paid that... hoping it wasn't a scam. 30 minutes later... our photos... I'm so grateful... really I am. The best 30 dollars spent. I'm backing up this old backup, and keeping it to my spare iphone. Please people... support these folks. I got my photos.

A supposedly simple upgrade from an iPhone 12 to 14 went disastrously wrong when I traded in the old unit and the iTunes backup on my PC would not restore due to the infamous "backup is corrupt" error, despite years of no prior such issues. Big time panic!

But Decipher Tools delivered miraculously. I downloaded it, paid my $30 and had it attempt repair. Same error. Felt down for falling for a "scam". Sent an email for help, and in the meantime started the Advanced Repair option, which took several hours. Much panic and sleeplessness ensued. And then, lo and behold, the Advanced Repair completed and the backup restored flawlessly in the wee hours of the morning.

From the depths of despair to elation! No scam here. Whowuddathunk that these days?

And not only that, by then I had received an email from Kelly on the West Coast at her midnight time (!) offering to help via a beta log debugging tool if it still did not work.

These people, their products and the way they work is absolutely wonderful. And I mean it. Y'all three (!) have a fan for life here. /VC.

Product: excellent and easy to use Results: saved literally days/hours of time retrieving and organizing data to be presented legally Company: super helpful to work with and old school values when it comes to customer loyalty and satisfaction. Personal note: If you need documentation for any legal manner, do not waste your time or money looking at other options, you may find something cheaper but the trade off will be your time and sanity. I have relied on this application over a period of 4/7 years only because I was not aware of it for the first 3. The application gives you options to download in multiple formats with dates and times to be used standalone or in conjunction with screen shots or other like documentation. Your attorney will likely ask for the program you used because the data is inclusive and well formatted.

I have an old iPhone that kicked the bucket and the computer the backup was on quit booting. I took the backup off of that computer and copied it to my new computer and it said it was corrupt. I downloaded this and it just worked. I'm honestly shocked, it does what it said it would do. Usually when you see stuff like this it's usually a fake program but nope, not this one.

My wife's phone has been stolen with all the family photos on it. Luckily we had a backup (which was a bit old, but way better than nothing) - which we did before visiting Genius Bar a year or so ago. Unfortunately, all attempts to restore it - failed. We almost lost hope. I googled and found this tool, but was hesitant at first - as I never heard of this company or software before. Then I watched a video on youtube where one guy who does phone repairs recommend a bunch of tools to backup and restore the backup. Since this was my last hope - I pulled the trigger. The price is a bit steep for one-time use, but for family photos... it was absolutely worth it! Thanks! This tool allowed recovering photos of our daughter. Based on what this guy on youtube explained - there is no rocket science about what this tool does, but doing the same manually - is just an impossible job.

My laptop wasn't even registering I had a backup, the Decipher Backup Repair was able to find the back up, repair the back up, and restore it to my phone. I did not lose anything. Nothing. Everything was recovered. To make matters Better, when I restored my photos were all out of order and some of the voice memos didn't cross over to my phone from my laptop. Kelly fixed it, she was Great! Answered all my questions and made sure I got everything I needed. I got all my photos back in chronological order andddd I was able to retrieve all of my voice memos back into my voice memos app. Couldn't recommend enough, I'll tell everyone not to panic if their phone wont restore because this works! It's actually the Second time I've had to use them to restore a backup and both times they were able to restore everything! They are affordable and have Amazing, aaaaamaaazzinnngggg customer service.

I highly recommend this software. I needed text messages for court. This program downloaded the messages do they were easy to read in a continuous conversation. Screenshots are difficult to follow. This allows each persons name and text to read like a email.

I brought my iPhone to the Apple Store for repair and came out with a new "hard drive." When I came home to restore my backup, it was unsuccessful. I've made multiple attempts, but it kept giving me the same error message that my iPhone doesn't have enough storage for the backup to be restored. I purchased another software before Decipher Backup Repair, but that didn't do anything for me. I couldn't restore my iPhone for the life of me. I was frustrated but was still on a hunt for a solution, and I'm glad that I kept trying. Because I purchased Decipher Backup Repair, and when it didn't work, I reached out to them for further assistance. Kelly was so helpful and insightful and provided me with thorough instructions on how to fix the issues, and viola! My phone is finally restored to its original state.

As for the other software I purchased before Decipher Backup Repair, I'm still fighting them on that to get my money back (it was double the price of Decipher Tools!!!). Beware and be careful out there, everyone! There are truly people out there who are praying on us, who are trying desperately to restore our phones. I trust Decipher Tools, honestly. And I know that if I ever have issues with my iPhones again in the future, I can rely on them and their software to help me out.

This DecipherText software is GREAT for printing out text conversations. My iTunes would not let me backup my phone, and I sent a message to the company telling them I could not use the software, since I couldn't get an iTunes backup. Jay, one of the co-founders, responded to my message and got back to me very quickly. He emailed me and told me exactly what to do to use the backup option on the DecipherText software. My phone text messages backed up flawlessly after following his instructions. With that said, I was able to print out my text conversation for an upcoming court custody battle very quickly. This was a much better process than taking screen shots and then getting them printed out. Walgreens chopped off parts of my text from my screen shots and it cost twice as much to have the texts printed, and then couldn't even use many of them. If you need to print a text conversation, DecipherText is your company to use to help you get the project done.

I was such a huge skeptic. I thought these guys were just trying to make a quick buck off people in a desperate situation. Because I was DESPERATE! I did everything you are supposed to do, backed up my phone, but when the time came and I needed it, the backup failed. Apple failed me. And these guys saved my butt! Worth every penny. I ALMOST didn't use this, almost just lost a year worth of memories in my photos. All I can say is do the free trial version, and when you see it "working" I think you'll realize it's legit. I don't know HOW they did it. How they can fix my corrupt backup when apple couldn't, but they did!

I thought all was lost with my last backup. Because they were too big to put on my iCloud backup, I did everything to my PC. It's always worked fine....in the past. This time when I went to restore, I kept getting the dreaded "this backup is corrupt" error message.

After doing some research, I came across this product. I thought to myself "great...another product that will scam me out of $30.00 and not do anything useful". However, to my delight it worked like a charm. It identified the corrupt items in my backup and allowed me to successfully restore it (and save my scalp too - I was pulling my hair out trying to come up with a solution. Highly recommended!

It did what it said it would. I had to clean my phone and restore. I backed up the phone but somehow it got corrupted. On the Restore I got the dreaded error. I had older backups but missed a lot of photos and important message and phone numbers. I download this tool and it worked the first time. It repaired the corrupted Backup as promised. Enough said. I needed a platform to put my text messages from my IPhone to a PDF for use in court in a family case. I needed this PDF in a short time as well, less than 24 hours. I had done some research and found Decipher Tools continued to show up in my research of best programs to use. I didn’t know at the time how correct that would be. I was having some trouble printing the texts from PDF. It wasn’t showing my side of the conversation. So I reached out via the help button in the app, and wrote a quick summary of what was happening. Much to my surprise, I got a response back, following an automated response at first, from a real live person. This person walked me through different steps and options in a step by step manner. Through some simple email exchanges between the team at Decipher tools and myself, we were able to get the correct settings selected in the program to allow for clear, no nonsense, organized text messages that were able to be printed just as they appeared in the app. I couldn’t have done it without their team! They saved the day! Highly recommend this program if you are an IPhone user needing to print texts/save text as whole conversations rather than screen shots. Very wel worth the purchase!
