Recover Discord Email and Username from iPhone Backup

We had a customer write in today with an interesting problem. He writes:

In this iphone backup I have my discord account, The problem is I don't remember my email account I login with so I can not login in my machine, I am trying to browse and find it. do you know if is possible?

To try to help this person recover their Discord username or email address, I dug around in my own iPhone backup's discord files to see if I could find the username and email.

Follow these specific steps to find your Discord email address or username in your iPhone backup:

1. Run Decipher Backup Browser, and select your backup.

2. In the center column, scroll down to the bottom of the list and select "All Files".

3. In the filter bar at the top of the right column, type "discord" and press enter.

4. Expand All Files > AppDomain-com.hammerandchisel.discord > Documents > mmkv.

5. Click to select the file "mmkv.default".

6. Click "Save" in the upper left corner of Decipher Backup Browser to save a copy of this file out of the backup.

7. Opened the saved file "mmkv.default" in a text editor like Notepad or TextEdit.

8. Search in this file for the words "username" and/or "email". Both pieces of info should be relatively close to each other.
