My Decipher Tools Software Will Not Open or it Keeps Crashing

If you are having troubles opening any Decipher Tools program on your Mac or Windows computer, please follow the instructions below. Note: Decipher Tools software runs on your computer and not directly on your mobile device.

Mac (Big Sur, Catalina, and all other macOS versions)

Whether you have recently upgraded to macOS 11 (Big Sur) and your Decipher Tools software is crashing or if you are simply unable to launch any Decipher Tools program, please follow the instructions below to solve the issue:

  1. Navigate to the Decipher Tools website and select your specific program from the "Products" dropdown menu.

  2. On the product page, choose the "Try for Free" button. You will then be taken to the download page where you can select the blue download button.

  3. When your download is complete, open the DMG installer and drag your newly downloaded Decipher Tools software into the Applications folder. Select to replace the existing version of your Decipher Tools software and do not choose to keep both versions.

  4. Launch the re-installed software and you will be back up and running!

If you are still unable to open the software or the program is crashing, restart your computer and try again. If you continue to have troubles after restarting, simply contact us via our support page and we'll be happy to assist.

Windows

If you are unable to run any Decipher Tools program on your Windows computer, a quick and easy software update will usually solve the issue. Please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Decipher Tools website and select your specific program from the "Products" dropdown menu.

  2. On the product page, choose the "Try for Free" button. You will then be taken to the download page where you can select the blue download button.

  3. Once the download is complete, run the Windows installer to update your Decipher Tools software. If you are asked whether you want to Modify, Repair or Remove, please choose Remove. Then run the installer again to re-install the software.

  4. Launch the re-installed software and you will be back up and running!
